A RACE night and charity match have been organised to support fundraising efforts by the family of triplets diagnosed with a devastating illness.

As reported in the Hereford Times last week, Will Lindesay is running the London Marathon in April and is raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

His wife, Amanda, and her triplet sister, Vanessa Pritchard, have been diagnosed with MND.

Their other sister, Emma Richards-Ward, died in 2012 from the disease, as did their mum, Joan Richards last July, aged 75.

Robbie Gore, a friend of Will's, who manages Ewyas Harold football club first team has set up a charity football match in the village at 3pm on February 27.

This is followed by a race night at The Temple Bar Inn from 6pm- all welcome.

There is also a raffle and all money raised will go to Will's marathon fund.

Around £2,000 has been donated since the article was published in the Hereford Times last Thursday.

Will is nearing his target of £10,000- to sponsor him go to http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/giving/ and type in "Will Lindesay".
