ALTON Road in Ross-on-Wye is open again this morning following a large fire yesterday evening.
A fire started at a unit at the Haigh Industrial Estate at 5.45pm.
More than 40 firefighters and six fire engines, including one from Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service, tackled the fire overnight.
This morning the building is still considered unsafe so firefighters are currently unable to go in.
But crews are currently dampening the area down.

Group commander George Marshall said: “Upon arrival, the crews were faced with a severe fire involving exploding propane gas canisters. The fire was then tackled and brought under control using jets, compressed air foam and an aerial ladder platform.”
He continued: “The fire was extinguished at approximately 3.12am this morning and crews have since remained on the scene for damping down. The excellent team work of all those involved ensured that the fire was put out quickly and safely.”
Three fire engines and a water carrier remain at the scene and an investigation into the cause of the fire will take later today.
