A CAR was damaged by a passing vehicle which drove off without stopping.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash on the A4103 in Hereford on Saturday, January 30 at around 3.30pm.

A silver BMW had broken down between the Starting Gate roundabout and Old School Lane and was in the process of being recovered. A blue VW Golf was parked nearby.

A vehicle towing a trailer was travelling along Roman Road towards Aylestone Hill and as it passed the broken down car, the trailer hit the front of the Golf, causing damage.

The driver did not stop at the scene.

Investigating officers want to trace the driver of the vehicle, which is believed to be a green Land Rover Defender 90 which was towing a trailer with an old car on board.

The driver, or anyone with information about the incident, is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or through their website, quoting incident 0463s of 30 January.
