A FURNITURE retailer will be opening its first Hereford store later this month creating seven jobs.
Oak Furniture Land, the UK’s largest retailer of solid hardwood furniture, will be opening its new shop in Salmon Retail Park, Holmer Road on January 23.
The new store will also feature sofa retailer www.sofastore.com.
Jason Davies, Oak Furniture Land’s Regional Manager said: “The Hereford store is a major investment and plays a significant role in our on-going store opening programme across the UK, which will see us opening a new store each month for the next three years.
"We are hoping that the opening of our store on the Salmon Retail Park will help strengthen the site as a destination for furniture shopping.“
To celebrate the official opening of the new store Oak Furniture Land is commissioning a special cake sculpture which will be donated to a local cause to help with their fundraising.
They are also hosting a champagne launch on the store's opening weekend.
