AROUND 250-litres of diesel is believed to have spilled onto a road in the north of the county following a crash involving two lorries.
Fire crews were called to the A4113, at a bend known as Fiddlers Elbow, between Ludlow and Leintwardine at around 9.40am.
A spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said there had been a significant spillage from a tanker.
A crew from Leintwardine is at the scene as well as a specialist envrionmental protection unit from Stourport.
They will attempt to mop up the spillage while stopping the diesel entering the water course.
Police are on the scene and are diverting traffic.
UPDATE (2.35pm)
Emergency services have now left the scene.
