A MAN died following an operation at Hereford County Hospital, an inquest heard.
John James Stenning, 72, from Dilwyn, was suffering from Crohn’s disease when he was admitted to hospital on March 31.
The former company director was described as having “several medical problems”.
Brendan Mcllroy, hospital consultant surgeon, said that without surgery he would have died.
Mr Stenning did not respond to therapy following the surgery and died on April 23.
Coroner Roland Wooderson told the Hereford hearing last week that Mr Stenning was in poor health.
“It seems to me accidental death.”
