Book tells the stories based around county's old railways
STORIES based around former railway routes in Herefordshire are told in a new book.
Stephen Constance, 75, who now lives in Hereford has written a book called Permanent Way (Or Strangford Bridge and other stories).
It is based on his life growing up in Hildersley, Ross-on-Wye in the 1940s and will be of interest to people who can remember the Ross railway.
The fictional stories are based around the old Hereford to Gloucester and Ross to Monmouth railways and set in the late 40s and 50s.
Mr Constance has three children and is a piano tuner and jazz musician.
