THE skies are about to be lit up above Herefordshire as fireworks displays and bonfire nights are held. 

Among those taking place are: 

October 30:

· Radway Bridge Garden Centre Fireworks Show, Whitestone, from 6pm to 8pm. Fireworks by Niteforce Fireworks. £5 for a family of four. Proceeds to St Michael's Hospice and the MS Society. Refreshments by The (NEW) Potting Shed Tea Shop.

- Witches, warlocks and fireworks, The Butchers Arms, Woolhope. 6pm start with fireworks at 7.30pm.

October 31:

· Knighton show and carnival committee will be holding a bonfire and fireworks night at 6.30pm at Llanshay Farm, by kind permission of the Price family. Entry £4 adults £2 children under 16, family ticket two adults and two children £10. 

- Kington recreation ground, 7pm. Adults £3 and children £1. Food available.

- Marden Pre-school Halloween and Bonfire Night. Community Centre Car Park. Mini firework display from 5pm. Hot dogs, jacket potatoes and refreshments; apple bobbing; fancy dress prize and lots of fun! £5 per family for firework display, followed by Spooky Disco- 6.30pm to 8pm. £2 per child.

November 1:

· Hereford Rowing Club's annual bonfire and fireworks. The bar will be open from 4pm, with gates open from 5pm, bonfire lit at 6pm and the fireworks at 6.30pm.  There will be a barbecue. There is no fixed entry fee but donations will be asked for on the gate.

· Norton Fireworks from 6pm. Entry is £2.50 for adults and children can enter free.

- Bonfire and fireworks at Berrington Hall, Leominster. 4 to 8pm. National Trust. Normal admission charges apply. Fireworks-themed crafts, face painting, music, hot food and drink from 4pm. There will be a bonfire to warm yourself around until the fireworks display at 7pm.

November 5:

· Tupsley Quarry, Gates open at 5.30pm. Bonfire lit at 6.20pm. Fireworks at 7pm. A free family event for the whole community presented by the Central Tupsley Community Group. Bring your torches. 

· Ewyas Harold Playing Fields, venue gates open at 6pm.
Professional firework display accompanied by music. Bar, BBQ, prize for best guy, stalls. Parking recommended at memorial hall. All profits go to local community and groups.

· Orleton YFC Bonfire Night and firework display, the fire will be lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks will begin at 7pm. Food will be available on the night. Entry costs £3 for children, £5 for adults and £15 for a family. It takes place in the field behind the recreation ground.

- Much Cowarne Church community bonfire, 6pm, in the field leading off the church drive. Baked potatoes with fillings, but please bring your own drink.

- Pembridge, Millenium Meadow. Gates open at 6pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7pm. There will be a marquee with a bar and  food. Admission is free but donations welcome.

November 6:

- Breinton Bonfire and Fireworks Party, 6pm, Warham Court Farm. Entry is free but donations accepted to cover the cost of fireworks. Refreshments will be provided, but please bring your own wine and cake, if you would prefer.

- Weobley Parish Council bonfire and firworks display, Hopelands, Weobley Village Hall. Torchlight processions from the village centre and Burtonwood Community Centre from 6pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm, and the professional fireworks display at 7pm. Refreshments and free parking. Entrance: adults £5 and children £2.

November 7:

· St. James School PTFA & Friends of Castle Green will be opening the gates at 5.30pm. Fireworks start at 7.30pm. A lantern procession, music, food and drink and a fireworks display at Castle Green, Hereford.  Tickets available from Outback Records in Church Street, Hereford.

· Hereford Round Table Fireworks Display will be at the racecourse. Gates open at 5.30pm with the lighting of the fire at 6.30pm. All children accompanied by an adult get into the display for free. £10 per adult.  All the proceeds from the night will go to Herefordshire charities. Plenty of food stalls, a bar, children's attractions and rides.

- Ross Lions Club is holding a bonfire night and fireworks display at The Chase Hotel in Ross-on-Wye. Entrance gates on Gloucester Road will open at 6.30pm. At 7pm there will be a torchlight procession to lead up to the lighting of the fire. After that, at 7.30pm, there will be a display of fireworks that will last around half an hour. Entrance is paid in cash on the gate, Adults £6, Children £4 and family tickets available. 

- Sutton St Nicholas Bonfire Night in the field behind the village play area. Gates open at 5pm with the bonfire to be lit at 5.30pm and fireworks from 6.30pm.  Tickets: Family £10, Adult £5, Child £2 – available from Sutton and Marden Schools, Golden Cross Inn, Moreton Chippy, Hair Affair Bodenham, Storm Hairdressing Marden, Marden Shop & P.O.

- Treago fireworks in St. Weonards. BBQ is at 5pm, bonfire will be lit at 6pm and fireworks at 7pm. All proceeds to Garway School.

- King's Caple. Procession from old school at 6pm, fire will be lit at 6.30pm, fireworks at 7pm. Free entry. Food and drink available.

- Colwall Primary School Friends, 5pm to 7pm, Colwall Cricket Ground. Tickets available in advance from John Goodwin Estate Agent in Colwall and also Lady P Florist next to Colwall Railway Station. £6 per adult / £4 per child. There will be a hog roast, glow zone, bar including mulled wine, cakes and refreshments. No own fireworks and no sparklers allowed. No unaccompanied children under 16-years-old.
