A BOMB disposal squad was called into action after a grenade which was discovered at a house in Risbury sparked a safety scare.
Police were called to a property in the village, near Leominster, this morning following the discovery of an 'old and rusty' Second World War grenade during a house clearance.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) confirmed that the device was a real grenade but that it was empty.
The bomb has been taken away from the property and the area is safe.
Bowley Lane, Risbury, was closed both ways for public safety while the grenade was assessed.
