I HAVE seen the Hereford Times website has an article about a lady who received a parking fine at the Courtyard Theatre and I’d like to share my story.

I purchased a parking permit for £30 last October at Leominster Halo Site, and since then it has been displayed in the top left-hand side of my windscreen as I visit the site at least twice a week.

A few weeks ago I came back after my child’s swimming lesson to find a parking notice. I immediately checked and my permit was in the same place and still in date. When I looked from outside, my windows are quite dark and the ticket is brown so the only thing I can assume is on a rainy day the attendant didn’t really look properly.

It has, however, always been there and never been a problem. I immediately appealed enclosing pictures of my permit but it was turned down and the photo taken by the attendant was sent to me.

It was taken from so far back that the permit is not immediately obvious but if you zoom in you can see it. I have reluctantly paid the £45 fine as the appeal informed me if I didn’t I would have to pay £75.

I have never had a parking ticket in 18 years of driving and am disgusted. I have since heard of other similar incidents at the swimming pool car park.

It’s time these attendants and parking companies were taken to task.
