TWO brothers are to take one giant step for St Michael's Hospice.

Saturday is the day when Ryan and Marcus Honey will leap out of an aeroplane and skydive.

Proceeds from the leap will go towards the hospice.

Marcus, 21, said the idea to help St Michael's came about when his father suffered a health scare.

"It was a great relief to be told by the consultant that the test came back clear but the current statistic for the general population is that one in three people in the UK will get cancer in their lifetime," he added.

"With this in mind it makes it more important that the wonderful facilities and services offered by St Michaels are preserved and maintained.

"St. Michaels Hospice is an independent charity, and all their services are given free. It costs over £13,000 per day to provide these services and 90% of all their funding is raised by the local community."
