A PUBLIC meeting will be held tonight to discuss the closure of one of the wards at Ludlow Hospital which is due to take place tomorrow.
The meeting will take place at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Broad Street, Ludlow, at 7pm to 8.30pm.
Councillor Paul Draper, mayor of Ludlow, said: "At the full council meeting on July 27, Ludlow Town Council listened to the serious concerns expressed by local residents regarding the future of Ludlow Hospital.
"The town council resolved to support Ludlow Hospital and oppose the closure of Stretton Ward."
Ludlow Town Council and Shropshire Council have called tonight's public meeting to debate the proposed closure of Stretton Ward, Ludlow Hospital.
Cllr Draper will chair the meeting and Cllr Andy Boddington, who represents the town on Shropshire Council, will chair the debate.
Members of the Community Trust, Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group and MP Philip Dune have been invited to the meeting.
