EXECUTIVE committee members of the Powys Radnor WI Federation went to Presteigne Memorial Hall recently along with some WI demonstrators to meet women from the area who might be interested in setting up a new WI branch in the town. At the event there was a chance to talk to existing members and watch extreme knitting, crochet, fabric corsage and rag rug making demonstrations. Several women from Presteigne attended the successful event. The federation will now be holding a further meeting in Presteigne on June 11 at 7.30pm for anyone from the Presteigne area is interested in finding out more about the WI Federation or interested in joining a new group.
