LEDBURY Hunt has issued a statement on its website in support of the new Conservative Government, and expressing the hope that the ban on hunting will now be overturned.
Hunt spokesman, Donald Haden revealed that supporters of the hunt had helped with the Tory's election campaign locally, including in Worcestershire.
He said: "Many thanks to all those in our Hunt who helped so much within the three constituencies where we
enjoy our sport and in particular to all those who also came to the marginal seat of Worcester where, beyond even my expectations, we delivered more than 6000 leaflets helping the Conservative MP
retain his seat and more than double his majority.
"Together we have contributed to the victory of four Conservative MPs who have all made it clear they strongly support our cause."
Mr Haden added: "The route through to legal hunting will have it's difficult moments but the outlook is now looking very bright indeed."
