A WOMAN who stole £21,500 from the company she worked for threatened to make claims to the Inland Revenue about its financial dealings unless her boss dropped theft charges.
Angela Harris, 45, of Sutton St Nicholas, pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to three charges of stealing the cash from R&S Steels in Hereford.
She also admitted doing an act tending to pervert the course of public justice by making a threat to Royston Williams that she would not report him to HMRC if he dropped the charges.
Abigail Nixon, defending, said the money had been repaid.
Judge Richard Rundell adjourned the case until June after hearing that Harris was willing to take part in a restorative justice scheme.
He warned her she was in danger of going to prison.
