A CHARITY which provides transport to people in Leominster and Hereford has teamed up with a national car servicing and repair company to support its volunteer drivers.

Community Wheels, operated by hvoss (Herefordshire Voluntary Organisations Support Service) is the largest of seven community transport schemes across Herefordshire.

It has teamed up with Kwik-Fit which is offering all volunteer drivers free car checks throughout the year to ensure vehicles are in tip-top condition to transport customers.

Community Wheels currently operates a service in North Herefordshire, the Leominster catchment area, Hereford and local parishes, providing door-to-door transport for people who do not have access to a car and are unable to use public transport due to mobility difficulties or because of the non-availability of the service.

To find out more about the service or to become a volunteer driver call Community Wheels on 01568 615785.

Community Wheels is also looking for a team of fundraisers. Please contact Sarah Bateman for more information on 01568 617722.
