MOVIE STAR glamour will make the Chilli Festival at Eastnor Castle the hottest ticket in town, during the May Bank holiday weekend.

Sarah Littlewood, Event Co-ordinator at Eastnor Castle said: "This year we are delighted to have local resident, actress and model Elizabeth Hurley opening our event on Sunday morning."

Miss Hurley, known for appearances in hit movies such as Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery; Mickey Blue Eyes, and Bedazzled, moved into the £6m Donnington Hall, close to Ledbury, in 2012.

Now in its fourth year, the Chilli Festival at Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury, is back on Sunday May 3 and May 4 as a celebration of the chilli.

Am event spokesman said: "This year, there will be over 50 stalls and entertainment, showcasing all things hot.

"The Castle Courtyard will be transformed into a Chilli Market and visitors will be able to try and buy delicious products such as chocolate, bread, cake, vodka, cocktails and chutney as well as grow-your-own chilli plants. There will also be a number of specialist hot food suppliers selling authentic Asian curries and other spicy foods."

Other attractions will include a chilli eating competition; and local chefs will give cookery demonstrations in the marquee.

Children can enjoy lessons with the Easy Peasy Cookery School.

There will be live music from the Mexican band – Los Squideros from Hereford, and joining them will be Andalus
