THERE was little excuse for holiday boredom at Ledbury's new library this week, as young and old alike enjoyed a creative visit to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
The central attraction was the chance to take part in the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, one of the most iconic scenes in the famous children's book by Lewis Carroll.
This year sees the 150th anniversary of the publication of the famous tale.
Librarian Louise Gerrish explained that while the White Rabbit and the Mad Hatter were nowhere to be found at the table, there were hats to be made and cakes to be decorated, in keeping with the spirit of the theme.
Youngsters could also get inspiration for their creations by picking up cards and reading snippets from the great book.
Visitors could also enjoy a White Rabbit trail around the library, in search of little white rabbits which had been concealed in unexpected places.
