A LEOMINSTER woman is taking on a 60-mile trek in China, inspired by her grandmother.
In September Suzanne Platford, 24, is taking part in Britain V Cancer Great Wall of China Trek- a nine-day challenge covering 60 miles.
She is raising money for the Lymphoma Association.
Her grandma Betty Hanson, aged 74, is a 20-year survivor of lymphoma.
Mrs Hanson said: "The Lymphoma Association was a lifeline to me during my illness, and still continues to offer me support.
"I hope by raising this money that the help and support that I received can be passed on to other people being diagnosed with lymphatic cancer."
Miss Platford will also be trekking in memory of her sister-in-law's father, Frank Dixon, who sadly lost his battle with lymphoma.
Lymphoma is currently the fifth most common cancer in the UK and can occur at any age.
She needs £2,900 in sponsorship. To sponsor Miss Platford go to www.justgiving.com/Suzanne-Platford/
