WYE Valley NHS Trust (WVT) has confirmed two new senior management appointments.
Jon Barnes, currently Deputy Chief Operating Officer at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, is to join WVT next month as Chief Operating Operator (COO).
He will cover a fixed term while WVT continues the search for a substantive appointment to the role.
The role is currently covered as an interim appointment.
Also starting next month is Dr Susan Gilby, currently associate medical director at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
She comes to WVT as Medical Director and is already in handover discussions with current interim appointment Dr Sally Stuke.
As such, some aspects of support for the role are being put on temporary hold as Dr Gilby assesses and evaluates the need for support herself.
However, one key role has already been cleared for immediate recruitment, that being the Associate Medical Director for Clinical Effectiveness who will take a lead on mortality reviews and related improvement.
