A COUNTY woman is one step closer to clinching the Top Model UK title.

Ayesha O’Kelly has been named a grand finalist in the prestigious competition.

But before the 20-year-old turns her attention to the final, she must first complete a skydive to raise funds for Children with Cancer UK and the Rainbow Child Foundation.

She said being a finalist in the modelling competition inspired her to collect money for the charities.

“They encourage the finalists to part take in a charity event,”

said Miss O’Kelly, who used to attend the Steiner Academy in Much Dewchurch.

“I decided to do a skydive because I wanted to raise as much awareness and money as I possibly can.”

Miss O’Kelly, a mum-of-one who now lives in Monmouth, has been modelling for three years. She has previously won the title of Miss Monmouthshire for Miss Great Britain.

“She (my daughter) is my inspiration and my whole world,” she added.

“I want to be able to encourage her to follow her dreams when she is older and the best way for her to be able to do that is to lead by example and follow mine.”

The skydive is on February 28.
