A HI-TECH Herefordshire firm is in talks to open up opportunities for major defence contracts in the USA - and beyond.

IA Technology Ltd and US-based Sabre Systems Inc. are looking to a “strategic partnership” over the provision of technology solutions to defence and federal government customers in global markets.

Senior leaders from both companies have met in Sabre’s Washington DC office to discuss the possibilities of such an alliance.

IA chairman Duncan Williams said the companies complement each other in many areas.

Utilising Sabre as a channel to market in the U.S. would “open many doors” within the defence, aerospace and commercial arenas to IA’s development of electronics and systems, he said.

Phil Jaurigue, President and CEO of Sabre said: “ It was refreshing to meet a company such as IA that has great entrepreneurial spirit and passion for their products. Sabre brings a lot of ideas, opportunities and rigor, and together I know we can enjoy tremendous success.”

Based on Hereford’s Burcott Business Park,  IA is well established  across a wide range of specialist market sectors including military and defence.

The company designs, prototypes and manufactures electronic solutions to meet challenging environments.

Sabre  provides technology solutions to U.S. defence and civilian agencies amongst a range of commercial and international clients.

The company – with a presence across the USA -  focuses on analytics, autonomous systems, command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, critical infrastructure protection and cyber.
