THE open morning at the John Masefield High School, on January 30, is being hailed as a great success.

Over 50 parents and primary school children were shown around the school by Year 11 prefects and senior staff.

Head teacher, Andy Evans said: "Parents and their children visited lessons, where our students showed excellent learning qualities; concentrating fully, contributing to and leading lessons and co-operating, with some excellent group work.

"Our visitors commented on how well the classes were being taught, the high quality of students learning and their books and on our helpful and polite prefects."
