THE snow did not last for long but these two took advantage of the wintry conditions to have fun while it was here.
Spaniels Merlin and Jake were photographed yesterday in Mortimer Forest by Simon Allen from Leominster.
The snow may be gone, but the county may soon be witnessing flooding.
The Environment Agency has issued warnings for the River Wye between Hay and Hereford.
Southside Cops (@southsidecops) tweeted this photo of the footpath under Greyfriars Bridge in Hereford earlier today.

Some road closures are already in place across the county due to flooding.
The B4350 Clifford to Whitney on Wye Toll Bridge is closed as well as the A4110 between Adforton and Leintwardine to the junction of A4113.
Other roads are passable with extreme care. They so far include:
- U92206 Paytoe Lane, Leintwardine
- C1007 Brampton Bryan to Walford
- U92210 Jay Lane, Leintwardine
- A4110 Bainstree Cross to Lawton Cross
- C1035 Eardisland village
- B4362 Combe
- C1039 Kingsland to Yarpole
- C1072 Kington - near to the church
The Met Office has also issued a Level 2 alert for the West Midlands, the East Midlands and the East of England, meaning colder weather could be on the way.
