EARLIER this month, Scotland reduced its drink-driving limit from 80mg to 50mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood.

It means drivers could be breaking the law if they have even a small glass of wine or single pint of beer and brings the country into line with Northern Ireland and most of Europe.

This week, we asked visitors to our website, herefordtimes.com, whether they thought England and Wales should follow suit.

A total of 478 people took part and a majority of 68 per cent thought the limit should be reduced here in England and in Wales.

However, 31 per cent thought the limit should stay the same.

The remaining one per cent of voters were not sure.
