IT'S Christmas time, and Ledbury people are ready to raise the rafters of the parish church, to help the victims of Ebola in Africa.
The town's "Band Aid" concert and get-together will take place on Saturday, December 20, from 6pm in St Michael and All Angels Church.
Event organiser, Chris Loten said: "The community is coming together for a great event and all are welcome.
"We have created an opportunity to get together, have fun and raise money for the Band Aid fight against Ebola.
"We also have plans for a framework of spiritually uplifting karaoke songs. There’s no need to buy a ticket; we’re asking for donations on the night. These will be collected by the church and sent to the #BandAid30 campaign."
But Mr Loten added: "The really vital bit is what talent the community can contribute. We still need more musicians, singers and performers to step forward. "It’s up to the community really. Saturday might be a sing-along with a few good friends, for a really worthwhile cause, or a full-house cheering to the performances of a lifetime. We want to do it."
