THE Delphis Lodge recently awarded sponsorship totalling £3,500 to local charities at an annual presentation held at the Kyrle Street Masonic Hall, Hereford.

A total of £500 was donated to each of the following local charities: Haven Breast Cancer Support Centre, Herefordshire Headway, Holme Lacy Riding for the Disabled, St Michael’s Hospice, Close House Youth Centre in Hereford, and the Marches Family Network. The donations were distributed by John Crooks, Worshipful Master of Delphis Lodge. A further £500 was allocated to the Herefordshire Masonic Charity Association for ongoing and future support to local authorities.

The lodge charity steward, Worshipful Brother David Knowles, spoke to the representatives in attendance about the charitable support given by Freemasons in general, and by Herefordshire Freemasons in particular.

The representatives of the charities receiving the donations were given the opportunity to emphasise the work undertaken by their own local charity. All emphasised, with appreciation, the continued support given by Herefordshire Freemasons.
