A HEREFORD singer got the chance to share a table with Radio 1's first female DJ at a glitzy awards ceremony.

Natalie Holman, 22, was invited to the Women In Music awards held at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.

And the singer and songwriter, who was there with Daisy Rock Guitars, shared a table with Radio 1 DJ Annie Nightingale, Naughty Boy and Tim Ingham from music publication Music Week.

Also in attendance were Roger Daltrey from The Who, Denise Welch, model Abbey Clancy, Gaby Roslin and Charlotte Church.

Miss Holman said: "It was amazing. We were looking at our table numbers and we turned around and saw Denise Welch.

"I was a little bit star struck. We were sharing a table with Annie Nightingale – she was incredibly inspirational."

The awards saw 30 women working across the industry honoured at the ceremony, including Annie.

The event also raised awareness for Nordoff Robbins and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Miss Holman has just released her debut music video on YouTube and hopes to finish her EP by the start of next year.

She is singing at a free gig at The Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford tomorrow at 7.30pm.
