IN September the Radnor Valley Vintage club put on a ploughing match in memory of their former member and world champion ploughman Les Goodwin. The event attracted ploughmen and women from all over the UK. £1,500 has just been presented to Helen Pruett the community coordinator for Wales Air Ambulance. The money was raised on the day from entry fees, a large raffle and donations. Les's widow Rita Goodwin who attended the ploughing match presented the money to Helen watched by members of the club. Club chairman John Nixon thanked everyone for their help and support on the day and all those who donated raffle prizes and money.
