A SCULPTURE worth £2,000 has been stolen from an artist's studio near Ledbury.

'Head Study' was displayed outside Ed Elliott's studio after being exhibited in Worcestershire earlier in the year.

But on Saturday, October 25 at around 2.45pm it was taken from the property.

CCTV footage captured the moment.

Mr Elliott, 29, who has had numerous commissions with the National Trust, said: "I don't think it is acceptable to steal anything and I want to try everything I can to find the person responsible.

"Whoever had the cheek to steal a unique piece of work like this does not deserve to enjoy it for themselves or receive the money it is worth.

"I'm really hoping spreading the word will source someone, somewhere, which might have noticed it and hopefully help me find it."

The artwork was the featured piece at this year's sculpture trail at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre and at a solo exhibition at The Hive in Worcester.

It is made out of a diseased horse chestnut with an expression which will change over time as it weathers and ages.

If you have any information regarding the theft call police on 101 and quote incident number 547 of 28th October.
