A TEAM of young sandwich artists from St Mary’s RC High School will be hoping their sub ‘The Stinging Chicken’ proves to be too hot for the competition, after being shortlisted in a national contest to come up with a new creation for sandwich giant Subway.

Ethan Hunt, Iwan Robins and Alex Armellino’s Stinging Chicken has made the final, and will now have to pitch their low-fat sub to brand experts next Monday in a ‘Dragon’s Den’-style presentation.

Business studies teacher at St Mary’s, Megan Edwards, said: “We are so proud that our students have been shortlisted as finalists in the challenge.

“They have worked really hard to create their sub designs and marketing plans, and it has been a great opportunity for them to put their business skills to the test - we are all rooting for them to win!”
