HARRISON Clark Shawcross, the Ross-on-Wye trading branch of Harrison Clark Rickerbys Solicitors which also has offices in Hereford, Cheltenham, the Thames Valley and Worcester, was pleased to host its second charity quiz night in aid of Hope support services at Ledbury Rugby Club on September 11. The evening raised £600 for the local charity, which supports young people when a close family member is diagnosed with a life threatening illness.

Nineteen teams, made up of local Ledbury businesses as well as those from further afield, participated in the quiz and were faced with twelve rounds ranging from music through the ages through to a round of herbs and spices. The joint winners on the evening were John Goodwin Estate Agents, based in Ledbury, and Harrison Clark Rickerbys' own employment law team.

Mary Wathen, senior associate in the agricultural and rural affairs team, said; "It was a really enjoyable and successful evening and I would like to thank all of the teams who were able to join us on the night. The rugby club looked after us well and we are delighted to have raised £600 for Hope; they are a fantastic local charity".

April Shipton, Hope support services, commented; "We are very grateful to Harrison Clark Shawcross for its fundraising efforts and for hosting such a lovely evening in aid of Hope. Fundraising events like these are absolutely vital to keep us going and to allow us to continue to support young people right from the moment of a relative's diagnosis and for however long we're needed."
