A WOMAN is at the end of her tether after having no broadband for more than six weeks.

Janet Village continued to see her direct debit leaving her account each month but despite numerous calls the problem was still not fixed.

PlusNet provides her broadband services, and neighbouring residents in Pudleston have also been without the service.

Miss Village said: "It has been going on for six weeks now and we keep getting strung along.

"I have had five engineers out to my property so far and they want to send another one out.

"There are at least another ten people in the village having the same problem.

"To top it off my son is on jobseeker's allowance and can't access the job seekers website, so we have to do an 18 mile round trip to Leominster."

Laura Mottram, head of PR at Plusnet PLC, said Miss Village is experiencing an unusual fault which may also be affecting other residents in the area, regardless of their provider.

She added: "We are continuing extensive investigation and are in close consultation with Miss Village as we look for resolution as quickly as possible.

"We have refunded Miss Village for her time without service and will continue to waiver charges until her service is running normally again.

"In the meantime, we are sending a mobile dongle to Miss Village to provide short term access to the internet while we continue to investigate. We sincerely regret the inconvenience this is causing."
