A WEEK-long scheme of overnight resurfacing work on the A49 Leominster bypass is set to begin later this month.
The Highways Agency is to carry out the work to repair damaged road surface in both directions of the three-quarter mile section from the A49/A44 Worcester Road roundabout and the OK Diner roundabout junction with Ludlow Road/Mill Street.
The work – which also includes replacement road markings, traffic loops and anti-skid surfacing – will take place between 8pm and 6am from Monday October 20 and the road will be closed in both directions.
During the closures, northbound traffic will be diverted via Southern Avenue, B4361 Hereford Road, B4361 South Street, Westbury Street, Dishley Street, A44 Cursneh Road, A44 New Street, A44 Broad Street and A44 Mill Street.
The southbound diversion will follow the same route in reverse.
