THE Ledbury-based communications business, Pippin Consultancy, is doing its bit to tackle the social issue of food poverty.

The consultancy has joined the Wiggly 100 organisation, organised by the the Wiggly Worm charity, which aims to tackle food poverty in the Cotswolds area.

As a Wiggly 100 member, Pippin is supporting the Little Green Wiggly Machine, a restored 1967 Citroen H van.

By day the van sells healthy, nutritious street food, all made using locally sourced, ethical ingredients.

And the money its raises during the day funds its pop-up food poverty initiative at night, when the same healthy meals are served to those who need it most.

The van also provides work experience to vulnerable people, providing a gateway into paid employment.

To support the initiative, Pippin has committed to donating £250 per year, for three years.

Director, Catherine Every, said, “I’m delighted and proud that Pippin is a Wiggly 100 and to be supporting the vital work it does."
