The conker tournament takes place this Friday and will raise money for charity.
A LEOMINSTER pub is proposing a novel – and nostalgic – way to raise money for charity.
The Conker Cancer event at The White Lion will see participants go head to head in a conker tournament, battling it out to be the last one standing.
Entry costs £2 and participants will be supplied with conkers and either a shoelace or string for the competition.
It takes place this Friday (October 3) and the first match is due to begin at around 6pm, with a prize on offer for the winner.
Funds raised during the evening will go to Cancer Research UK.
