POWYS’ police and crime commissioner wants to “understand the thoughts” of Hay-on-Wye residents and will be booking up 20-minute appointments next week to do so.
The ‘Your Voice’ slots will give individuals and groups the chance to pass on their thoughts about local crime and policing.
“I’m confident that local people will wish to air their views,” said police and crime commissioner Christopher Salmon, who oversees a policing budget of around £100m.
“As their voice in crime and policing, I need to understand their thoughts.”
Mr Salmon is already meeting Hay Town Council and the local chamber of commerce at his surgery on October 6, one of 12 such events he will be holding across the county.
