SCHOOLCHILDREN in Herefordshire can get needle-free flu vaccinations to protect them this winter.
The county is one of several selected in the region to offer free jabs to year seven and eight students, or children born between September 1 2001 and August 31 2003.
The needle-free vaccines have been available from the middle of September at most pharmacies, or from your registered GP.
The vaccine may not be suitable for a small number of children, for example those with problems with their immune systems, severe asthma or with an allergy to eggs.
These children will be offered an alternative inactivated flu vaccine but only at their own registered GP practice.
