A MASS ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ will see up to 100 people dump freezing cold water over their heads in the middle of Hay-On-Wye on Thursday to raise money for charity.
A supersized version of the social media craze - giving yourself an ice-cold shower, donating to a Motor Neurone Disease charity and challenging your friends to do the same – the group effort at Hay Castle starts at 6.30pm with more than 20 people already signed up.
While it may appear trivial, the campaign has raised more than £3.5m for the MND Association since August 25.
And the group session is a great chance to get involved, whether that’s finally stepping up to a friend’s challenge or just having a go to raise some money for a good cause.
