A CHARITY gig in Hereford this weekend helped raise money for those killed and injured in the conflict in Gaza, 5,000 miles away.
Organisers were met with overwhelming response by local bands willing to pay for free at The Jailhouse on Sunday.
The event raised around £500 for the charity MAP, which provides medical aid to the warzone.
“We had a huge response from bands – we couldn’t get everyone on that wanted to play,” said The Jailhouse’s Anthony Murphy, who along with Jon Hale and Rich Lovell helped put together the event.
“We wanted the money to go to a charity that wasn’t about pointing fingers, but just offered help to those affected in the war over there.”
