A PENCOMBE road that has been closed since a landslide in February has now reopened.

With hundreds of square metres of earth slipping beneath the surface, sections of the road collapsed in on itself.

Herefordshire Council were forced to close the small road just off the A417, which leads to the popular tourist spot of Shortwood Farm.

During the closure a long diversion was put in place, meaning visitors and deliveries to and from Shortwood Farm had to navigate around north Herefordshire’s by-ways.

However, the road reopened in time for the August Bank Holiday weekend, allowing visitors to enjoy pig racing and learn skills such as hand-milking a cow.
