Next Year Pencilled In For Pool Improvements

LEDBURY people will have to wait until next year for a revamp of their swimming pool.

Simon Gwynne, General Manger at Halo, the leisure company which runs the pool, at Lawnside, for Herefordshire Council, said: “Halo always planned to stagger the works across the four centres in Herefordshire. We are looking at a March / April 2015 lead in for the Ledbury project with confirmed start nearer the time.”

Ledbury Swimming Pool will be improved as part of a £9million refurbishment of the county's leisure facilities.

Halo Leisure want to alter and extend the swimming pool in Ledbury to create an additional gym area, dance studio, improved reception, changing area, spectator seating and poolside facilities.

The leisure provider is also looking to upgrade the building's fabric.

The work is expected to cost in the region of £2m.
