THE Southern League has said that Hereford United's matches will continue to be played despite its CVA proposal being rejected by creditors yesterday.

As reported by the Hereford Times, the Bulls are now effectively an insolvent company and, unless the directors can raise the money to pay creditors before September 1, the club will be wound up in the courts.

Hereford United are due to face Dorchester Town in the Southern League Premier Division tomorrow before hosting Banbury United at Edgar Street on Tuesday.

But, despite the latest developments, Southern League secretary Jason Mills told the Hereford Times that the games will go ahead.

"Despite the rejection of the CVA, matches will continue to be played," said Mr Mills.

It was announced this week that Tommy Agombar had failed the owners' and directors' test by the FA and was told he was not allowed any involvement with United.

His shares have since been bought by Alpha Choice Finance Limited, which is owned by Alan Gerald McCarthy.
