COLLEAGUES Martin Hunt and Steve Firkins are gearing up for a major challenge to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats over nine days. They plan to start their pedal-powered journey on September 6.
The pair, who work for Mondelez and both live in Leominster, are hoping to raise £2,000 each for the British Paralympic Association.
Martin and Steve have been cycling and training together for this event for 18 months. They started the Marlbrook Cycling Club around six years ago and have raised over £2,000 for local charities in that time, mainly from the annual Chirk-to-Marlbrook 100-mile cycle ride.
