POWYS/ Radnor WI Association held a poetry and prose evening at the church hall, Knighton. The event was organised by the arts and leisure committee chaired by Liz Watkins.

During the event the winners of the short story competition on the subject of true love were announced they were Gill Holt of Dolau WI and Lucy Hoosden of Bwlch-y-Sarnau WI.

The competition was judged by Brenda Reid from Knighton. The two winning entries were read out to all the members who were at the event. There was then a break when all the ladies enjoyed punch and puddings.

After the break some poems on the subject of feelings were read out. Some were written by members other WI's chose their favourite ones from books.

At the end of the evening Liz Watkins thanked everyone for coming, all those who entered the short story competition and everyone who helped to make the event a success.
