TWO-time British Blues Award winners BabaJack are to perform a one-night only gig for a county charity next Friday (August 8).

Fresh from European shows, BabaJack will headline as local bands Uke in Hand and Supreme Awesome Dudes also take to the stage for the Hope Support Services event at Broome Farm, Ross-on-Wye.

Describing themselves as “roots/blues/folk fusion” sound, the band have even secured a slot supporting rock legends Status Quo on an upcoming tour date.

Organised by Hope’s own Youth Management Team (Y-Team), all money raised through ticket sales goes straight to supporting young people when a close family member is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

“Hope is a wonderful organisation that gives hope to young people when they are going through a traumatic time,” said BabaJack’s Bec Tate.

“They work with dedication and imagination to help them through these terrible times. We support their work from the bottom of our hearts.”

Onsite camping can be booked directly for anyone wishing to stay over during tomorrow's event.

“BabaJack are a really good band so it should be a fun evening,” said Dean Powles, Y-Team events officer.

“It’s the first time we have put on a live music event, and Broome Farm is the perfect venue for it.

“We’re all really pleased that BabaJack have chosen to support us. I am a big fan of them, so can’t wait to see them on the night.”

Doors open at 7pm, and food will be available to buy on the night.

Pre-booked tickets cost £10 for over 18s, £5 for under 18s or free for children aged 10 and under.

Tickets may be available on the door for £2 extra.

Visit hopesupport.ticketsource.co.uk to book tickets or call Broome Farm on 01989 567232 for camping enquiries.
