HEREFORD United will be starting the new season – but a question mark remains over Hereford United's future aftertoday’s High Court hearing.

Registrar Jones adjourned the case until September 1, after he was told that the club is exploring proposals for a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) which it is anticipated would see creditors paid 100 pence in the pound over a three-year period.

He said he would adjourn the case in order ‘to see what happens’ at a meeting currently scheduled to take place on August 15.

Lawyers appeared for two creditors, Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs and Martin Foyle – who had brought the winding-up petition.

United will start the new Southern League Premier Division season at home to St Neots on August 9.
