THE sixth annual Llanfair Waterdine arts and gardens festival took place last weekend and although Saturday was rather quiet a large number of people turned out on the Sunday.
There was lots to see and do including an amazing display of works from local artists in the Everest Hall, there was a large display by the Marches book art group in the church as well as a collection of First World War memorabilia including an oil lamp, medals, photographs and a night dress case made in Palestine and brought home by Private Thomas Morris from Lloyney for his young wife.
There were also displays of art depicting bees and a local sculptor worked with children to build a hidden den. There were four open gardens, all unique in their own way, and concerts on the Sunday by local young musicians and the Llanfair Singers.
