FIREFIGHTERS from Ross-on-Wye were called to tackle a lorry with a blown engine on the A40 near Ross-on-Wye last night.

A crew from Ross used small tools, a hose reel jet to cool the engine and an environmental grab pack at around 5pm.

Later in the evening firefighters from Hereford used one hose reel jet to put out an open fire on Bodenham Road at around 10.30pm.
