A MAN was taken to hospital after breaking his leg in an accident at a grasstrack racing event near Ledbury on Sunday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the ACU British Masters Grass Track Challenge at Orlhams Farm, Leddington, at around 2.45pm.

An advanced community paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended.

The man, believed to be in his fifties, had overturned his sidecar and was initially treated by the private ambulance on-scene.

He was given pain relief and was taken by land ambulance to Hereford County Hospital.
